MEET OUR SPEAKERS
We have a wonderful group of speakers that are excited to encourage you in your homeschool journey.
Lindsay ClarkI have been married to my husband Bryan for 14 years. We have four children ages 7-12 and have homeschooled since our kids were young. We have a small homestead; and raise our own meat, dairy goats, and produce. I also enjoy learning about herbalism, food preservation and baking. I keep busy homeschooling my kids, teaching piano lessons, and serving at church. In my free time I also enjoy reading, baking, crocheting and gardening. “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!” Ephesians 3:20-21 |
Kathy EckertKathy Eckert has been married to her husband John for almost 39 years. They home schooled their 5 children when it was not a widely acceptable option. They have 14 (almost 16) active grandchildren ranging in age from newborn (in April and May 2023) to 11 years. Kathy is thankful for home school support groups, encouragement, and many more curriculum options for her grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, canning, crocheting, reading and teaching Sunday School. Her most treasured time is spent with family. 3 John 4 is a special verse to her. I find no greater joy than to hear that my children (and grandchildren) are walking in the truth. |
Kristy GrabillMy name is Kristy Grabill. I have been married to Matt for 25 years. We have 5 kiddos ranging in age from 11-19. We have been homeschooling for nine years. I love to read, watch kids play sports, Euchre and hiking. I'm actually an introvert which is surprising to most people. The verse I am claiming over myself right now is Exodus 14:14. |
Nick BrownNick Brown is the loving father of Marcella, John-Paul, Maria, Simon, Teresa, and Pearl and the patient husband to homeschool mom, Tiffany Brown. Native of Grand Haven, Mi and graduate of GVSU, Nick teaches math to Fremont Public high schoolers. Of most importance, Nick encourages his family in their Catholic faith and enjoys family traditions especially those of living the liturgical year in the home. Additionally, he finds refreshment and reward in the outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking, sugaring, camping and family vacations. When spending time with Nick you will find he is project oriented; he has a knack for efficiency and thus accomplishes many projects around the house including home updates, repairs, maintenance and building projects. There is one thing that he does for his family that his wife doesn’t always like to admit, but admittedly thoroughly enjoys (for reasons you readers could extrapolate): dinner most nights of the week! To our speaking panel this year, Nick adds both logic and levity. A teacher for 17 years, husband of 16, father for 15, and a homeschool dad for 10, he will share some insights and offer perspective as well as encouragement to our moms. |
Toby Vance
I have been married to my wonderful wife for over 20 plus years and we have four children from 10 to 18 years of age. We have been homeschooling for the last 15 years. My youngest three play soccer and we love watching them play. My desire is that we all realize that we are "Called into fellowship with His Son." (1 Cor. 1:9)
